Well, the Wangs in the Wild had an exciting adventure and we got MJ stuck in a river. It was the first time crossing a decent sized river and we found a rock that hung us up and precluded us from exiting the river under our own steam. With that exciting trip still fresh in our memories it was now time to dry out MJ.
I was very thankful that the weather was fine on Monday morning and I am on holiday. The plan of attack was to strip the carpets out and attempt to dry them. First, strip out the seats. Should be easy once you get the covers off the sections the bolts hid under. Of course I broke the first two, the rest was easy. Back seat out. Front two seats out, easy. Not the carpet… sills off, done. Side panels, done. Middle console, took a bit, done. What the heck is that foot thingy on the drives side? Well, I broke the first screw cover. Oh well, I know for next time.

With everything out and I dried that excess water with a towel and pulled out the floor plugs. I called up Dad to drop off some of the carpet driers to aid the drying process. This was the easy bit I set up the blowers and let that sit for a couple of hours.

Now to try and dry the woolly mammoth. This was tricky as both sides were soaked. Setting up two saw horses helped to keep it off the ground. The truck was easy and I had the seats back in after MJ was dry, so we could still use the truck. The carpet is taking ages to dry. After two days it’s still soggy. I’m in two minds if we’ll pop it back into MJ. We’ll see.

Wow impressive lol!!!
